MANSEHRA: A tragic traffic accident occurred near Chanar Kot on the Hazara Expressway, where a passenger van overturned, resulting in the death of three people, including a woman and a child, and injuries to nine others.
According to rescue sources, the accident was caused by overspeeding. Rescue 1122 teams and local police rushed to the scene upon receiving the information. The injured were given first aid and then shifted to DHQ Hospital Battagram and Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad, where some are reported to be in critical condition.
Rescue officials confirmed that a woman and a child were among the deceased. Further investigations into the incident are underway.
Locals expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and urged the government to implement effective safety measures and speed control strategies on the expressway to prevent such heart-wrenching incidents in the future.
