UPPER DIR : A second day of rain and light snowfall in Upper Dir intensified cold conditions across the area Thursday.
Cold winds swept through urban zones of Upper Dir and higher-elevation areas, including Lowari Top, Kumrat and Jahib Banda, following overnight precipitation.
Hailstorms late Wednesday damaged fruit trees in multiple locations, raising concerns for local agriculture. The Panchkora River and nearby canals also saw rising water levels due to the rainfall.

The Meteorological Department warned residents to prepare for additional thunderstorms and precipitation Thursday.
