Pakistan routs Bangladesh with 7-wicket win at T20I

LAHORE: Pakistan clinched a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the third T20I on Sunday, completing a clean sweep of the three-match series 3-0.

After winning the toss, Pakistan opted to field first, allowing Bangladesh to set a total of 196 for 6.

Parvez Hossain was the standout performer for Bangladesh, scoring a quick-fire 66 off 34 balls. Tanzid Hasan contributed 42 runs, while Towhid Hridoy chipped in with 25. Captain Liton Das added 22, Shamim Hossain 15, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz managed only a single run. Jaker Ali and Tanzim Hasan Sakib remained unbeaten on 15 and 8 runs, respectively.

Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Hasan Ali and Abbas Afridi, who claimed two wickets each. Faheem Ashraf and Shadab Khan took one wicket apiece.

In response, Pakistan chased down the 197-run target with ease, reaching the mark in the 18th over. Mohammad Haris starred with his maiden T20I century and stayed unbeaten, anchoring the innings.

Saim Ayub supported with a solid 45, while Hassan Nawaz added 27 runs to the tally.

Pakistan had earlier dominated the series with a 37-run win in the first T20I and a 57-run victory in the second, underlining their commanding form.
