SWAT: A tragic boating accident occurred in the scenic Shahi Bagh Valley of Kalam, Swat, when a tourist boat capsized due to engine failure. Seven people were on board, and the incident resulted in three confirmed deaths, three injuries, and one person still missing as rescue efforts continue.
Local residents and emergency teams quickly responded, recovering the bodies of two women—35-year-old Masmat Fatima and 20-year-old Asiya—while rescuing a young boy, Sadid, who was rushed to Civil Hospital Kalam in critical condition. Among the missing are three children: 14-year-old Owais, 4-year-old Anadia, and 6-year-old Omar.
Rescue operations, involving police, locals, and Rescue 1122 teams, are ongoing to locate the missing individuals. District authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
