PESHAWAR: On the instructions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, a legal notice has been served to ARY News journalist Hassan Ayub under the Defamation Ordinance 2002.
The notice stated that during ARY’s program The Reporters (aired between August 25–29, 2025), false allegations of corruption in mining leases were leveled against the Chief Minister. It termed the claims as malicious and damaging to his reputation.
Hassan Ayub has been directed to issue an unconditional apology within seven days, failing which legal proceedings will be initiated under cybercrime laws along with a damages claim.
