KP CM removes AAG KP for weak arguments in anti-corruption case against PTI’s MNA Atif Khan

 

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has removed the Additional Advocate General from his post for weak arguments in the corruption case against the PTI’s former senior provincial minister and member of the National Assembly Atif Khan.

According to sources, Ali Amin Gandapur issued instructions to senior lawyer and head of the Anti-Corruption Committee Qazi Anwar Advocate for weak arguments and lack of preparation in the case against Atif Khan to immediately remove the concerned Additional Advocate General from his post.

Sources have claimed that during the previous hearing, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was very angry with the position of public prosecutor Nawroz Khan and in this regard, an audio of Qazi Anwar Advocate has also been leaked in which he has instructed Nawroz Khan to resign himself before removing him from his post.

In the audio, Qazi Anwar said that during the hearing, you (Narowaz Khan) gave weak arguments which have also been included in the order sheet. The order sheet states that the parties are reconciling. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said on the same day that he should be removed.

According to sources, in the previous hearing in the court, the public prosecutor did not represent the government properly in the case against Atif Khan. The Chief Minister is also very angry with the position taken by the public prosecutor in the court. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, Qazi Anwar Advocate has sought the resignation of Additional Advocate General Narowaz Khan.

Earlier, on March 13, a show cause notice was also issued to Narowaz Khan by Advocate General Shah Faisal Khan Atmankhel, in which a reply was sought within a day, citing the same case, that the case was not followed properly.

In response to Qazi Anwar Advocate, an audio message of Additional Advocate General Narowz Khan has also surfaced in which he denied these allegations and said that people are asking why he did not pursue this case. He is being held accountable.

According to Narowz Khan, he will not resign under any circumstances and his resignation is being prepared with a fake signature.

However, yesterday, on March 22, the provincial government issued a notification to remove Narowz Khan from his post.
