BANNU: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have repulsed a terrorist attack on Kangar Pull police post, in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The attack happened late at night when unidentified militants opened fire on police check post using small and heavy arms.
The police effectively retaliated, leading to an intense exchange of gunfire that lasted for some time, following which the attackers fled the scene.
Additional police reinforcements were deployed to chase the attackers. Police added that a search operation is being conducted in the area to hunt down the attackers.

Police said that no casualties were reported in the attack.
Police say that the check post has also been attacked several times in the past.
