PESHAWAR: Security guards at Lady Reading Hospital, the province’s largest hospital, arrested a burqa-clad man from the gynecology ward on Monday.
According to the hospital administration, the suspect was behaving suspiciously in the women’s ward, prompting hospital staff to alert security. The guards apprehended him and informed the police.
Police have taken him into custody and are investigating whether he is involved in the theft.
According to police officials, the man is allegedly linked to mobile snatching incidents and had entered the hospital in disguise.
Police stated that further interrogation is underway to gather information about his possible gang and other crimes.
