India forced to negotiate after Pakistan’s missile strikes: US journalist

ISLAMABAD: Both Pakistan and India have confirmed U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a complete and immediate ceasefire. However, a CNN journalist has now revealed the key factor that led to the breakthrough.

Nick Robertson, reporting for CNN, stated that India was ultimately compelled to accept a ceasefire due to the scale and intensity of Pakistan’s military response during the recent conflict.

According to Robertson, while global powers had been pushing for de-escalation from the start, India had resisted international pressure until Pakistan launched “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.” During the operation, Pakistan conducted a series of targeted strikes that reportedly overwhelmed India’s defence systems.

Robertson claimed that Pakistan’s missile offensive forced India into seeking negotiations. Following New Delhi’s request, the U.S. Secretary of State reached out to Saudi and Turkish counterparts, paving the way for a diplomatic resolution and the formal ceasefire agreement.
