India’s negative Behaviour Could Jeopardise Regional Peace: Bilawal
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that due to India’s negative attitude, the continuation of the ceasefire does not seem possible, which can pose a threat not only to the peace of the region but also to the peace of the world.
Bilawal Bhutto said that during the recent tension, Pakistan has achieved significant successes not only in the military field but also at the diplomatic level. He said that Pakistan has given a clear message to the world through its behaviour that we do not want war but are fully capable of defending ourselves. We have proven that the desire for peace is not our weakness but our strength. Bilawal Bhutto described the inclusion of the Kashmir issue in the talks as a major diplomatic victory for Pakistan and said that India’s position has always been that occupied Kashmir is its internal matter, but today this issue is part of the talks, which is their successful narrative.
The Chairman PPP stressed that Pakistan wants the ceasefire to remain and that it should become the basis for lasting peace in the region. He said that Public statements are in their place, but we fear that India will not continue to abide by the ceasefire agreement. Regarding the Pahalgam incident, Bilawal Bhutto said that the Prime Minister has already offered an impartial investigation, and there have been many incidents of terrorism in our country too, which were blamed on India. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari further said that India tried to attack the Indus River, which is a serious act, as they could not use water as a weapon in this way in the past. We are sure that there will also be discussions on the violation of the Indus Water Treaty.
