Local court acquitted PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat in torturing case

ISLAMABAD:  A local court in Islamabad has acquitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat in a case of torturing PML-N Senator Afnanullah during a TV talk show.

According to a private TV, Islamabad Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mahmood issued a written decision to acquit PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat, stating that no criminal evidence was found against Sher Afzal Marwat during the investigation. The judge wrote in the decision that the plaintiff did not appear in court, which shows his disinterest. Even if the case is tried, there is no possibility of conviction. The court has accepted Sher Afzal Marwat’s acquittal plea and acquitted him of the case. It should be noted that a case was registered against Sher Afzal Marwat by PML-N leader Senator Afnanullah at Aabpara police station, in which Sher Afzal Marwat was accused of trying to torture Senator Afnanullah during a TV show.

However, after some time, the two leaders were seen chatting happily together. Sher Afzal Marwat has repeatedly admitted that politics should not be turned into enmity, his attitude in the past was not correct in this regard.
