Pakistan Railways to Restore Khushal Khan Khattak Express

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has decided to resume operations of the Khushal Khan Khattak Express from April 25, 2025, restoring a vital rail link between Peshawar and Karachi.

The train, which was previously suspended, will now run regularly between Peshawar Cantt and Karachi City, passing through several major cities and junctions, including Kotri, Dadu, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Mianwali, and Attock.

Route and Significance

The Khushal Khan Khattak Express is the only train operating on the mainline route from Kotri Junction to Attock City Junction, serving key districts such as Larkana, DG Khan, Kot Addu, and Mianwali. Its restoration is expected to facilitate passengers traveling between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.
