JUI-F’s Fazal condemns Indian ‘aggression’, hails Pakistan armed forces
Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has strongly condemned what he called India’s “aggression” amid rising tensions between the two neighbouring countries.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Fazl accused India of targeting mosques, seminaries, and civilian areas. “Our brothers and sisters were martyred, but Pakistan’s security forces bravely defended the nation,” he said, while paying tribute to the armed forces.
He added that the JUI-F is observing Youm-e-Dafa Watan (Day of National Defence) today.
Fazl also announced a solidarity march in Peshawar on May 11, with another scheduled in Quetta on May 15.
India’s war madness endangering peace, escalating tensions, says FO
Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan has strongly condemned the unprovoked aggression carried out by India on the night of May 7 and said that India has committed a serious violation of international law. India’s aggressive action has brought two nuclear powers face to face.
The spokesperson said during a press briefing that India’s war madness is creating serious threats not only to Pakistan but also to the peace and stability of the entire South Asia. He said that Indian actions have ignited the fire of tension in a sensitive region, which the international community should pay immediate attention to.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson clarified that under the guise of the Pahalgam incident, India spread false propaganda against Pakistan, while Pakistan has demanded a transparent and impartial investigation into the incident.
He raised the question of whether a country can be allowed to take aggressive action against another sovereign state solely based on social media.
The spokesperson said that on May 7, Indian forces unprovokedly attacked and challenged the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan, during which not only civilian areas were targeted but also holy places like mosques were martyred, which is a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
The spokesperson further said that Pakistan is a responsible state and reserves the right to take all necessary measures for its defence. He once again rejected the Indian allegation regarding the Pahalgam incident, calling it baseless and fabricated.
Indian claims of targeting terrorist infrastructure are false: FO
The Foreign Office (FO) has rejected Indian claims of targeting terrorist infrastructure inside Pakistan, calling them “completely false and misleading.”
In a statement, the FO spokesperson said it is a matter of record that Indian strikes led to civilian casualties, including women and children. “It is public knowledge that mosques were also damaged or destroyed during the Indian aggression,” he added.
The spokesperson further revealed that shelling by Indian forces damaged parts of the Neelum-Jhelum hydroelectric project, calling it a violation of international conventions. He stressed that India must be held accountable for these actions, which he described as violations of international law and human rights.
Azma Bukhari Slams Indian Media for Spreading Fake News Amid Tensions
Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has strongly condemned what she described as the spread of false claims and fake news by Indian media amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India, state-run PTV reported.

Calling Indian media an extension of the Modi government, Bukhari said, “When the Modi government tells a lie, Indian media magnifies it a hundredfold.”
She dismissed recent Indian reports claiming the downing of a Pakistani aircraft, stating that such fabrications are meant to distract from the Indian government’s failures. “Indian media claims to have conquered all of Pakistan, while in reality, all cities across the country remain safe and life is proceeding as normal,” she said.
Bukhari accused Indian media of abandoning journalistic ethics, adding: “By hiding the truth and spreading lies, Indian media has become a disgrace to journalism.”
