Three CTD personnel killed and two injured in cross firing with terrorists

 

BANNU: Three personnel of CTD police were killed and two others injured when armed terrorists and police exchanged heavy firing in the limits of the Domail Chashmi Police station on Thursday.

The incident occurred in the Spina Tangi area, limits of the Domel Chashmi police station. The police were on routine duty in the area when they came under the attack of the miscreant elements.

Those who were martyred in the tragic incident identified Assistant Sub-Inspector Benjamin Khan, Constable Inam Khan and Constable Musawer Khan, while two constables Wafid Khan and Imran were also injured. They were immediately shifted to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.

Police said that firing also resulted injury of two terrorists who escaped with the support of their accomplices. Police seized weapons, ammunition, IDs, hand grenades from the terrorists, which have been handed over to the police.

As soon as the incident was reported, DIG Bannu Sajjad Khan, DPO Bannu Saleem Abbas Kalachi and SP reached the hospital, where they enquired about the injured personnel. He issued instructions to the hospital staff for the best possible treatment.

 

On this occasion, DIG Bannu Sajjad Khan said that all available resources will be utilised for the best treatment of the injured personnel. He said that terrorist elements will be dealt with iron hands to clean the areas of these elements.
