Flag Meeting at Torkham Aims to Resolve 26-Day Border Closure

KHYBER: Officials from Afghanistan and Pakistan are set to hold a flag meeting at  Torkham border on Wednesday to discuss reopening the crossing, which has been closed for 26 days. Sources indicate that the border gate may soon reopen for traffic, with customs staff summoned to duty in anticipation of the decision. If an agreement is reached, the border is expected to reopen for freight vehicles, potentially ending a costly standoff that has disrupted trade and economic activity.
