ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has called a federal cabinet meeting at 11 am today on political and economic situation of the country. the meeting rescheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday).
The 12-point agenda for today’s meeting included the appointment of members of the Pakistan Ordnance Factory and Heavy Industries Taxila Board will be approved.
In addition, the signing of the Convention for the Settlement of International Disputes, the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hungary, and the approval of a cooperation agreement on e-mobility with the International Finance Corporation are also included in the agenda.
The cabinet meeting will also approve the summary of the Interior Ministry regarding the directions of the Islamabad High Court, consider the Whistleblower Protection and Vigilance Commission Act 2025 and decide to assign the additional charge of the Chairman of the Pakistan Tobacco Board.

Moreover, the meeting will consider the restoration of tax exemption on the income of full-time teachers and researchers through the Income Tax Amendment Bill 2025, the ratification of the decision of the Cabinet Committee on Privatization on March 11, and the ratification of the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee meeting on March 13 and 21.
