MIRANSHAH: The district administration, North Waziristan on Tuesday launched a tree plantation drive in Miran Shah for the spring season 2025, aiming to make the environment clean and green.
The tree plantation campaign for the spring 2025 season has officially started at Miranshah Model School. Controlling carbon by increasing trees is a fight against climate change.
Considering the importance and effectiveness of tree plantation, a tall and vigorous tree provides 220 liters of oxygen per day, which meets the oxygen requirement of four people. Trees absorb greenhouse and other dangerous gases, filter the air by reducing dust and dirt from the air, play a role in preventing floods, provide fruits and shade, reduce the damages of climate change, and reduce anxiety, tension and stress. Everyone should plant as many trees as possible and protect them.
